Alan Synar received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in accounting in 1976 from the University of Oklahoma and a Juris Doctorate degree in 1979 from the University of Oklahoma School of Law. His law emphasis is in areas of construction law, commercial litigation, contract law, professional liability law (accountants, architects, dentists, engineers, land surveyors and optometrists), employment law, family law, probate and estate planning. He has tried cases from Los Angeles, California to New York City, New York. He has also been a Municipal Judge in Edmond for 16 years. He presides over Edmond's criminal traffic, and juvenile court, which he helped develop in 1994.
